Sandra Wettergren is a young soprano with a big, full-bodied and sparkling voice
Sandra began her musical journey at the cultural school in Tranemo. After graduating from the aesthetic program, there was a year at Billströmska Folkhögskolan specializing in classical singing and piano. In 2014-2019, she studied to become a teacher of voice and cello for Ingegerd Hultén and Ylva Nilsson, with a degree and teaching certificate. In 2019-2022, Sandra studied on the artistic candidate musician program for professor Carl Unander-Scharin. From autumn 2022, Sandra will study in the opera program at the University of Stage and Music in Gothenburg for Åsa Bäverstam.
Sandra has had soloist assignments as soprano in Handel’s Messiah and Mozart’s Requiem, professorial installation at the University of Gothenburg and the University of Borås. In the summer of 2023, she will debut as a soloist in the role of paggio in Verdi’s opera Rigoletto, at Opera på Skäret.
She also takes singing lessons for court singer Hillevi Martinpelto and Gitta-Maria Sjöberg.
